Fragile Oceans

The Fragile Oceans imagery was created as a pro-bono project to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Australian Marine Conservation Society. We used the metaphor of air bubbles to imply the fragility of marine species, recreating some of our most recognisable sea creatures as precarious formations of air.

AMCS is an organisation that lobbies governments with scientists to try and set up marine parks and improve ocean protection legislation. They were responsible for lobbying for the creation of both the Great Barrier Reef and Ningaloo Reef Marine Park (on Australia’s West Coast). In collaboration with Hugh Carrick-Allan.
