Glebe Town Hall Facade

We were brought in late into the process with this project. It seems the brief was driven mainly by a neighbour 'out for blood' towards the City of Sydney's renovation of the old Glebe Town Hall, specifically a large glass stairwell that funnelled hundreds of people up a set of stairs well placed to look into someone's bedroom window. I explored a number of ideas that would be flexible enough to achieve the necessary coverage and we ended up with a combination of fruit bat silhouettes and fruit bats made from letters (fruit bats are a well known animal in Glebe).
