Royal Australian Institute of Architects — 2006 Trailer
This project was the precursor to my BMW Hydrogen clip. It was where I first learnt about Realflow software and the incredible potential for fluid simulation as animation. The budget was almost non-existent but I managed to rope in the very clever Octavio de Lellis to help. Though the idea treatment was well received by RAIA, early tests drew comments like, "Looks like a toilet cleaner commercial". They went on to like it, and perhaps more importantly, it got the attention of a couple of forward thinking ad guys in Austin, Texas who, after seeing it, sent me a project with a 100 times the budget for BMW.
