Telstra — 4G Concept
Drawings as part of a treatment for a Telstra project. I try as much as possible these days to replace references with my own work or drawings specific to the idea. The perpetual recycling of internet reference imagery really does start to permeate through commercial advertising after a while. If we can reference our own work, everything seems to be make a lot more sense. In this approach I proposed creating a set of miniature 3D scenes. Contained sculptural setups in the vein of my Chillout Sessions work. The look was white and powdery with the 4G bar the only element in strong colour in the scene. The treatment was not successful and the spot ended up being a high colour, glossy, carnival-like 3D execution.
